Hello All, I believe a very nice Kai-Gunto for your viewing and opinions. Dating this about 1940 as he received his license at end of October 1939 and by mid 1941 was monopolized by Seki along with many others. From what I can find he made very few Gendaito's and never went back to his trade after the war ended. His signature includes resident of Osugi and he would no longer be living there once involved with Seki nor would he have had to time to create private purchases that included his full nine character signature. Early pre war unblemished rayskin, dual ashi, gold guilded fittings and friction fit sans any latch. There are no stampings and the reverse of tang is  left blank. Thinking this to be purchase of a career Naval Officer commissioned work. Likely stationed on homeland due to great condition survivor. Forgot to mention Bo-hi in blade. Best, John S.
