RichardY Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 Good day everyone, I just recently joined this forum and have learnt alot from here. I just recently acquired a tokubetsu hozon pair of blades with matching koshirae. The pleasant surprise that came with the pair was another certificate that came with the swords Can anyone help identify what it is and what it means? Seems like the certificate is for the koshirae too Quote
Natichu Posted May 8 Report Posted May 8 I'll let the more knowledgeable folks chime in shortly with the details, but to me that appears to be a tokubetsu kicho certificate for the daisho koshirae (nothing to do with the blades themselves). 3 Quote
Bugyotsuji Posted May 11 Report Posted May 11 As you say, Richard, tokubetsu hozon for your blades, plus old tokubetsu kichō paperwork for your daisho Koshiraé. This old paperwork is said to be less reliable when it comes to blades but for Koshiraé this may not be so, thus the previous owner must have treasured the paperwork. 1 Quote
