Nice Edo tsuba (for a change)

Gents,

 

This time an Edo tsuba, so do not expect a big write up from me (as you know, Edo guards are not my area of interest). 

 

It is a decent, katana sized (7.7cm x 0.35 cm) iron tsuba. Quality of iron is good, patina is good, and the gourd sukashi is charming. The walls of the sukashi have remnants of gold lacquer (I think) - a nice touch.
