Thank you in advance for any help you can offer I recently aquired this sword at a local auction. The overall length is 63cm. Strangely the laquered scabbard is much longer and the Tsuba  is loose so most probably do not belong together.

Jussi,  Not 'Hisayuki'  but Tomoyuki 友行 I think. A smith who signed with the same signature on Richard's blade was working in 1394 but that is way too early.  A far more likely candidate is a smith working in 1688 who usually signed  Hoshu Takata ju Fujiwara Tomoyuki, 豊州高田住藤原友行 is a better bet.
