I have to say I'm not really a Katchu guy, though I am a bit interested in Kote.

 

I was googling to see if the Yasukuni Shrine had a Mon on its own when I found this Kabuto. I just thought: Wow!

Even though this might be a very rare piece, I dislike the design.

Reminds me of old Soviet monuments where members of the workers class hold hammers or sickles :badgrin:

Tobias, The Stibbert Collection in Florence (Firenze) has what in my opinion is a better example based on this theme. The 'arm' holding the vajra is shorter, really only the hand, and it is in russet lacquer apart from the gilded vajra.
