I am getting my first Nihonto in Shirasaya. I have a wall mount right now and was wondering the best way to display it. Any photos of others Shirasaya displayed Nihonto is appreciated. thanks. Jason

Yeah I seriously doubt it’s gold. You are right about it being brass or copper.

Would be nice if they were real gold LOL. But this is the first I’ve ever seen with coins used as Menuki.

Very nice information thank you. So I have a wakizashi coming mounted in Shirosaya. I wanted to get a compete koshirae mount setup for it or at least to go next to it maybe mounted to a tsunagi. But yes I am looking for nice valuable display pieces. Thank you
