  2. Hello everyone I am very new to this so bare with me but I have a what seems to be Manchurian Military police Cavalry sword from the Japanese occupation. That is according to the translation and the 5 pedal cherry blossom. I also found a passage in Japanese Military and Civil Swords and Dirks by Richard Fuller & Ron Gregory Page 176 that looks similar to this sword (image below). However I am a little concerned about it being a fake and I was hoping someone could shed some light on the topic. From some research online I haven't found any other swords like this with the inscriptions or serial number on the sides but have actually found someone talking about the inscriptions in this spot being indicators of a fake. I unfortunately don't have a picture of the top of the handle but it does have the crossed flags of Manchuria. I also don't have a better picture of the blade. What ever help is offered would be greatly appreciated. I've put the images below. Thank you!
