Pretty sure I don’t count as a collector since I’m broke with no nihonto (for now), but I’m 18. I feel like a newborn compared to some of you.

The patina does look faked, looks like mostly red and brown rust, with a line of less rusted metal running down the nakago (maybe, can't really tell with the picture quality).

The last character vaguely resembles the kanji for origin, 元, but it's a bit of a stretch. Laminated wood is strange, but I'm still a rookie when it comes to nihonto so I cant really say much.
