  1. Hi Franco, Thank you for insight into my sword. I'm going to have the sword looked into by someone affiliated with Japanese swords. I understand that you may believe the discoloration might be heat related. I'm no expert by any means but I will look into it. Based upon it not being heat altered what type of value do you believe it has? If it has a substantial value I would consider having it professional polished. Thanks again for your insight. all the best, Tom
  2. Jean, Thank you, I will position it point upwards and crop the photos. Tom
  3. Hi Jean I missed what Jan had posted at first. I appreciate your clarification of his post. I thank you very much. I will post some more photos. Thank you again.
  4. Hi Jan Thank you for the information about the shortening of my sword. Would you be able to decipher what is there of the Mei? Would you have any other thoughts about the sword? The age, type or any other insight? Thanks again. All the best Tom
  5. Hello, I was able to remove the Tsuka and discovered this. Please if you have any information about these markings or where I should go to find out more I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you
  6. Thank you very much for your information. Do you have any idea how old this sword may be? I'm having difficulty removing the handle due to the condition its in.
  7. Would anyone have any idea about what this mark would be? It's located on the Habaki?
  8. Hi John C this is exactly the condition the sword was in when I got it. I'm wondering also if anyone might know what the inscription or etching on the habaki might translate?
