Everytime a Showa period tachi comes up for sale it invariably contains a showa stamped blade. These blades are not made of traditional tamahagane so why is such good koshirae used on inferior blades? Any thoughts? Thanks...

that many of these koshirae are not a lot better than the blades, though this may apply more to Meiji and Teisho period pieces.

There are an awful lot of tourist pieces out there.
