Fittings ID

What period do these fittings look to be from? Was told they are Edo period. Can someone confirm?  Thanks

Value depends on why you want them.

The handachi koshirae on tsunagi is not of collectible quality so if you haven’t got a blade to try and fit into it (and that is near impossible anyway) it’s just a decorative thing. Personally …..maybe $3-400 tops

 

The brass tsuba is low quality, the habaki is useless  and the seppadai are all odds. No collectible value and not decorative. I wouldn’t  buy them without a good reason. Token $50 maX

 

The lone tsuka…..has a mismatched fuchi kashira and the kashira is totally knackered anyway (all inlay missing). Very common dragon menuki of low quality so, no collectible value and not very decorative. If you haven’t got a sword to try and mount it on (also nearly impossible anyway) then it’s worth maybe $100 if you can convince yourself there is a valid reason to buy it.

 

A few hundred dollars will buy you something….tsuba, fuchi kashira, menuki etc that are much better quality and actually worth having

Very nice information thank you. So I have a wakizashi coming mounted in Shirosaya. I wanted to get a compete koshirae mount setup for it or at least to go next to it maybe mounted to a tsunagi. But yes I am looking for nice valuable display pieces.
