Lingonberry Posted August 10 Report Posted August 10 Howdy folks! I just wanted to spread the word that there is an antique gun show in Denton, Texas (near Dallas/Ft. Worth) that has agreed to let folks get tables for Japanese swords and will even group the nihonto tables together. If anyone has been to the show in Vegas this would be somewhat similar, but a bit smaller. If you're interested in getting a table be sure to mention in the "notes" section of the form that your table with be for Japanese swords. Obviously, as a gun show they will also allow firearms, but mordern firearms and ammunition are strictly prohibited unless they are curio & relics. For more information, please see the Texas Gun Collectors Association website below! https://tgca.org/fall-2026/ October 16 – 18, 2026 Embassy Suites Hotel 3100 Town Center Trail, Denton, TX 76201 Friday-12 noon, Sat/Sun-9:00 am Last date to book hotel – September 24 4 Quote
Lingonberry Posted August 27 Author Report Posted August 27 It has been brought to me attention that the TGCA website states that one must be a member of the TGCA in order to purchase a table at the show. The TGCA recently (some time this Summer) held a board meeting where they decided to remove that requirement, meaning you do not need to be a TGCA member to reserve a table. You will see rates for members and non-members when you click through the table purchase process. If you do reserve a table at the show, please be sure to specify in the notes section that you will be showing Japanese arms & armor so they know to put your table close to the other sword folks. 1 1 Quote
