Nobody Posted April 24, 2012 Report Posted April 24, 2012 I am not sure if this site was already introduced here, as I have not been able to read all posts lately. e-Museum: http://www.emuseum.jp/top?d_lang=en A little less than one hundred famous nihonto are registered in the library as well as other national treasures. Also, an iPhone application is available. Quote

Brian Posted July 4, 2012 Report Posted July 4, 2012 This iPhone app is becoming one of my favorites. It is truly amazing the level of zoom you can do, and examine so many National Treasures on a minute basis. You can inspect the hada of Masamune, Sadamune, and many of the other National Treasures. The detail is amazing. As an example, I checked the program to see if Ford's Nara Toshinaga request was listed, but unfortunately the sole Toshinaga they had listed wasn't the right one. But just zooming in, and taking a screen capture of my iPhone, of one small area of the tsuba, this is what I came up with.... Bear in mind this is a picture on my iPhone that I took a screen cap of..then emailed to myself using a medium file size, and then uploaded here. Modern technology.... Brian Quote
