Hello.

This is my first post and I would be grafeful if one of the Forumites could help identify this sword. My area of knowledge is European so this out of my comfort zone - any help would be most appreciated.

Best regards,

Harvey Withers

Hi Harvey,

I dont think much can be told from the images and the current state of polish. It is signed Kuni Yuki. It looks to be a late-ish Koto blade (pre 1590). Have not gone through any references but the name is not uncommon and used by Smiths from a number of schools and for several generations.

not much help but a start

Best regards

Paul

sorry I see Mark beat me to it :)
