Armour Restoration

Gentlemen

I have recently acquired a suit of 19th century armour of no particular quality. It has suffered considerable flood damage and is in desperate need of restoration as much of the lacing, especially in the kusari, is wasting away and there are many loose plates

I wondered if anyone on this esteemed board might be able to advise on this.

I have tried to mount some pics but always seem to have "size issues" when I try, however, I can e-mail pics to any individual.

I am sure your answers will be better coming from Ian, but if you want to send me the images I will upload them for you and link them. Ian has helped me tremendously with my armor restoration! The documents and instructions he provided are now bound in a book I treasure!

Clive, were you thinking of doing the work your self or are you looking for someone who does restoration? Here is a link to a gentleman in England who is supposed to do excellent work.
