Lionel,

I am sure the Uk members will add to the list, but the dealers I know about in the UK are:

http://www.ryujinswords.com/

http://www.thelanesarmoury.co.uk/

http://www.michaeldlong.co.uk/

Bill Tagg in Liverpool (no website) liverpoolmilitaria@hotmail.com

Don Bayney in the Grays Antiques Market, London

http://www.medalsandmilitaria.co.uk/cgi ... rch=jsword (seems to have a decent selection)

We also have a number of members from there who should be able to assist. Some dealers are not known for being umm..."cheap."

Regards

Brian

Hi Lionel,

Brian has named most of them. Three of the above usually attend the International Arms fair at the Motorcycle museum next to the NEC, Birmingham. I think the next fair is in September plus it coincides with the annual country wide meeting of the Northern Token Society.

Hi, the only one ive have had experiance with is Chris James at Medals and Militaria, however it seems his website is infected with a virus on the swords tab, also when i last went to his shop in Warwickshire he didnt have a huge range, but i could be wrong. To be honest, its just as easy to purchase from the US, however you loose out on the face to face contact and the knowlege that goes with it.

Hi,

Last time I spoke to Chris his website provider was mucking him about and his shop is very small so probably not ideal for a large number of swords.

He does however usually have 40+ swords at the Motorcycle museum show also Bill Tagg has a large selection.

Lionel, I have known Don Bayney (Brian's list above) on and off for several years and he seems to be a decent knowledgeable bloke and willing to help out. Grays Antiques Market is outside Bond Street Station, just off Oxford Street, but you need to check the hours in advance as his shop is sometimes shut... Just my pennyworth.

The next fair is on the 12th September 2010.

Peter Yorke and Bill Tagg's tables are the best IMHO. Peter Yorke often has some very good prices on fittings.

the dealer of the link you provided ...is he still trading as all i see when viewing his different catergories is Red x's ??

Hi Lionel,

Yes Chris (medalsandmilitaria) is still trading but as mentioned , is having trouble with his website. Chris is the organiser of the Show at the motorcycle museum and also has a shop in Warwick.

As Peter has said, Bill and Peter are OK

If possible, come to the show in September

Regards
