"Fujiwara Nobuyuki" - Katana, Bungo Provinz approx. 1570 with koshirae

I am offering a mounted Katana signed Fujiwara Nobuyuki from Bungo Provinz around 1570. Located in Germany.

 

This a nice mounted and signed Koto Katana in nice conditon.

 

Sugata: shinogi zukuri

Mei: "Fujiwara Nobuyuki"

Papers: NO

Hada: mokune with masame, mixed with itame

Hamon: suguha

condition: take a look at the pictures

Nagasa: aproxx. 71,3cm

Sori: approx. 1,2cm

Motohaba: approx. 2,90cm

Sekihaba: approx. 1,9cm

Koshirae: black lacquered Saya, round Tsuba Heianjo style, Fushi+Kashira with kirimon, Menuki some figures

Beautiful sword. Bungo blades from that era are true warrior blades. I'm sorry, but seeing a blade lying on the ground always breaks my heart.

... and that Tsuka ... I'm sorry, it is just my personal opinion, but Tsuka is 'wrong'. It is way to long for this Nakago, also for the blade (proportions) itself. If you would like to use/swing/cut (yes, I know, just hypothetically) with this Tsuka, it would probably snap, as Nakago goes not even to half of Tsuka. 

 

I know, there are Kenjutsu schools that have different approach to left hand and not always put it at the end of Tsuka. Still, my personal opinion, Tsuka should be more like that:
