Rinsan Posted November 25, 2009 Report Posted November 25, 2009 Hi everyone For those who struggled to translate the mei, see attached file. The Sword Museum in Tokyo has confirmed that it reads Tsuguhita. Keith Quote
Ludolf Richter Posted November 28, 2009 Report Posted November 28, 2009 Hi Keith, from my Sosho-dictionary I believe it's Tsuguhira. He was a swordsmith of Musashi Province who worked in the last quarter of the 18th Century. There are some Tsuba in the books made by him, mostly with normal Kanji-writing.I found a pic where he he made the 1st Kanji in Sosho-writing like your 1st K.:look at mei pic.Ludolf Quote
