Help identifying tonto please!

Hello,

I'm hoping someone can help translate what’s been scribed on the blade of a tonto I recently inherited. The family legend alleges that it was brought back during WWII. Any help with identifying the knife in general would be great!

Thanks!

I am seeing what appears to be a mish-mash of parts paired with a 'kamekaze' knife: an inexpensive mass-produced blade for Japanese aviators.

But I would wait on more educated opinions on what you might have. I could be very incorrect.

I agree, but that said, if the blade really is a WW2 aviators dagger, it's worth money!

It's not. Not even close.
Aside from the fact that an official "Kamikaze dirk" doesn't exist.
But this is not even a proper tanto, sorry. At best, a mix of parts put together by a hobbyist. The saya looks like the sawn off end of a saya. Tsuka also looks cut off a longer one. Blade is way off. Avoid shinogi zukuri tanto!

Horimono is tourist quality at best.
A souvenir knife. If it's even Japanese...
