Possible military sword identification

Hi!

This is my first post so I hope I am doing everything right.

I have found this sword local to me and have posted some images below (there are a few more images I can send if needs be).

I have thoughts it could be a WWII military sword, but again not too sure, so I was wondering if anyone could tell me if it is first of all a fake and if not, anything about it at all?

Unfortunately I do not have this in person so I cannot view the tang.

Cheers!

@raaay@Bruce Pennington

Thank you both. I appreciate your help/input. I shall stay clear of this in that case.

I'm sure there will be a section (that I am yet to find, lol). But is there any pointers that you can give me so I can avoid having to post like this again? Or a link to a thread here/webpage, as i would love to learn more.

Again, very much appreciated.

Sam

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one, unless your post is really relevant and adds to the topic..
