Authentic or Junk

Recommended Posts

Hello.  Not a sword guy.  Family legend is that this was given to my grandmother as a gift from a serviceman she was dating who had served in the south pacific before or during WWII.   We thought it was lost to the ages, as most family members thought it was junk.  It looks like pictures I see for a Kyū guntō.  But I don't see any kind of serial number.
