Could anybody please attempt a quick translation of the attached ?

 

It is supposed to be by Kanzan , and will form part of the next item in my ongoing Tosogu thread .

Is it a tsuba that is somehow associated with the artist Itō Shinsui? 伊東深水

I can't get the second half of the signature, or the bits in orange. It would be helpful to see the actual piece. But I am bewildered at the reference to Itō Shinsui. Perhaps my reading is wrong of that bit is wrong.

I think the reference to Ito Shinsui as an inspiration makes sense.

 

The tsuba will be revealed later today in the thread ' A series of fittings ' in the Tosogu section.
