I think the bullets and weapons are comparable to Japanese Tanegashima. This is incredible how effective these weapons are.

Another good example, Hamfish. I have seen twenty or thirty of these proof 'test' kabuto, both against spears and musket ball. 

 

There is also a photo of a Saiga/Saika kabuto/helmet with a massive hole in the front.

 

Sssshhhh...  Armour makers would not like to show that last one to their clients, ... only ones with survivable dents in them...
