Hitatsura hamon, itame hada with some masame. 46cm nagasa Nakago was blade material and still has four mekugi ana one of which is plugged. This sword was sent to Bob for polishing and Shinsa and is now being returned. It was intended to shinsa but because so many did this type of work Bob felt it not worth the investment in shinsa as it would tell me nothing new.It could be Soshu Tsunahiro work or perhaps Suruga Shimada school, Taira Takata or Bizen Sukesada. It's a lovely sword most likely a reduced tachi as it's got a very small kissaki and of course the nakago indicates this is probable. Bo hi both sides is also tempered as a part of the hitatsura. The mounts are on suite Hamano work They are sparrows flying over various landscapes.Theme continues from Fuchi kashira,tsuba and kozuka. The menuki are Mino style war Horses in shakudo,gold and other materials. Very high grade workmanship which n the Hamano stuff. I will provide far better images once it lands in the UK. £2500 Ono.
