I think it's a WW2 army officers sword (my first thread)

Hello all. I have in my possession what I believe to be a army officers sword. I have several pics and can provide more. It belongs to a friend and he was wondering what these types of swords sell for. I'm sure it's very subjective,

Larry I'm not sure where the gremlins are getting into your photos but most of them are not showing up. I suggest checking the photos are less than 2mb each and waiting until they are fully uploaded in the add photo screen. From the two that have come through it looks like you have a very nice sword, the Tsuba has the Suya Shoten stamp on it, Suya made high quality goods for the military, especially sword mounts. If you take a cotton tip and clean out all of the gunk it will look like this:

I also wanted to thank SteveM and John for their comments and information. Thanks to SteveM I was able to do my research, very interesting history on the production of these swords. I've yet to find an example of an Emura with bo-hi.
