Copy of Ko-Katcchushi Tsuba

Recommended Posts

You are looking at what is most likely a modern copy of a ko-katcchushi (early armor maker school) tsuba.  It is carved with 5 different characters.  I don’t know their meaning but given the orientation of the “ichi” character it appears that this tsuba may be meant for a tachi and pictures are taken accordingly.

It measures 9.05 cm across, 8.9 cm high and is .1 cm thick.  This tsuba can be enjoyed as it is or looks fantastic mounted.

Please ask all questions in advance as all sales are final on this item.

Thank you for looking and happy bidding.
