New find any idea about this

I just found a Kai gunto with an old blade . The blade is covered with Nie and is very bright when held correctly . I Think it may of been about 90cm when made , looks it may be a Kamakura sword . Any input about it would be helpful Thanks Geoff

It looks Ubu, the Hamachi has been greatly moved up, probably more likely Muromachi from Mino with that blue tinge to the steel. The condition is too poor to make anything else out. Not sure what is covering the blade but if you wipe it down carefully with Uchiko powder a few times a week it may help you see more. Don't attempt anything else beyond Uchiko.

The Hamon can be seen going to the end of the Tang , I think it has been reshaped at some stage also Nie lines can be seen rising up from the cutting edge, Would this indicate a Soshu blade? Thanks
