translation I need assistance in the translation

I believe in the last picture to be an arsenal assembly number 898 and the third photo is a Seki stamp. I have contacted a couple Sword collectors and sellers and they can not tell me who the signature is.  I have looked for days and am at a total loss.  Can anyone help ?

Note the kanji for "shima" on the sword is a variant of the one shown on Dr. Kim's site. 嶋 vs. 島. I don't think this is significant in this case. I think the swordsmith is deliberately using the variant to recall the Shimada lineage of the past. I think this name with the numbers written on the tang make it clear this is a WW2 sword.

That makes sense Steve, thanks for the leg work.  Just some guy that claimed the lineage.  At least he didn't say he was the last of 43 generations.... Cheers, B
