brannow
The problem you might run in to is that they are not all the same size. You would almost have to try them and see if they will fit.
16k
I see, I thought they were standard size.
Bazza
Do investigate brass Whitworth round head screws in small size. If a thread fits you will need to chuck (as in lock into a drill chuck) the shank, spin it and file the head down to the size and style of what you are trying to reproduce. I did this once very successfully for a missing koiguchi screw... BaZZ.
Daniel
Try Kevin at ryujinswords.com. I bought a replica screw from him a couple of years ago which fitted perfectly... Regards Daniel
16k
Thanks for your tips, guys, I’ll try them. In the meantime, does anyone have at least a clear picture of one of these screws to see what type (metal or wood) they are? There’s one on evil bay, but not so clear.
