Koshirae Having Belonged To Sakanoue Tamuramaro

Recommended Posts

Hello,

In one of Robert Haynes' articles he refers to a koshirae (itomaki no tachi ?) that used to belong to Sakanoue Tamuramaro (9th century) that still features its original iron tsuba. I believe that the sword and its koshirae now belong to the Kiyomizu-dera.

Haynes further states that this iron tsuba is illustrated in many publications.

Can someone by any chance point me towards one of the publications ?

Many thanks for your time & help

Paul
