Ilovekatana Posted June 2, 2018 Report Posted June 2, 2018 I have what seems to be a kiyomitsu katana and I need help identifying it. The signature says Bizen kuni ju osafune kiyomitsu saku. The opposite side says eiroku shichi nen hachi gastu Kichi hi. The hamon appears to be a suguha midare combination. I will add photos as soon as can get some good ones. Joseph Quote
Geraint Posted June 2, 2018 Report Posted June 2, 2018 Well, here is one to compare it with, https://www.aoijapan.net/katana-bizen-koku-osafune-kiyomitsueiroku-jyuni-nen-hachigatsuhi Bear in mind that there may be more than one Kiyomitsu working at this time. If the sword is the same one that you posted in the other thread then don't get too excited about the price, that flaw does hurt the value. Please add your name to your posts as per the rules. All the best. Quote

All the best. Yes it is the same sword. In fact it is the only nihonto I have currently. Also I plan to get it restored. Quote
