There's Nothing Like It

That feeling that travels up your spine as you carefully remove a 700 year old piece of history from its shirasaya; something that survived wars and peace; something that shouldn't still exist but miraculously still does, thanks to generations of care.

Whew, just had to get that out there!

(Runner up goes to the sound a great two piece habaki makes when you click it together.)

You ain't kidding. I just recently got my Chu-Mihara in and it's around 600+ years old give or take....I get chills looking at it. Simply amazing. Thank god the culture was so respectful towards passing down family weapons (plus it's helpful that the warrior class ruled so strongly for such a long duration) etc.
