Hello.
Mei is "Washu ju Tomomitsu" 和州 住友 光, but I can not translate other kanji.
In places the mune is round?
The common mune by place is not Ioro-mune?
Is it a bad polishing?
Could you help me.
Rodriguez.

PS: I would insist on signatures for duplex it is likely that these are not the same smiths who signed signatures as its completely different.
But still I would like to understand the three kanji that I can not translate.
Thank you in advance.

Rodriguez,

I can't read the characters on the OMOTE, and I am not sure that they have a meaning. They are probably not from the smith's hand. On the photos it looks as if someone had messed up the (MITSU-?) MUNE.

I cannot comment on the polish; no photos of the blade itself.

Hello, yes, a mix of mitsu mune and maru mune, a function of polish at this point. Which I would interpret as the work of a polisher who has no business polishing. My guess is that it is supposed to be mitsu mune.

Kantei books!  Purchasing a sword should be done with open kantei books describing what you should be seeing.
