will be a cake walk for our advanced mei translators but thought it would be good work out for members like me who have to look the smith up in Hawleys to get the rest of the mei. what thur me off was the first two kanji i thougt it was another ooops, as Shues insted of Esshu. Lets let members try before we put up a spoiler. adding the date to help you narrow him down.

This was fun I never have even attempted to read anyting on any nakago before.

 

Could the ura side be something like: Bun Kyu Roku Nen Ni Gatsu Hi ?

"A day in he second month of the sixth year of BunKyu" or something similar?

 

Will try the other side tomorrows if noone posts first Think I have the two last kanji at least. Thanks for posting this

Kawagoe shin Fujiedataro Hideyoshi saku

 

 

when looking in Sword smith database it does come up Teruyoshi, with his name under.

Not much to see coming up at RIA.

Teruyoshi is correct....Signature looks a bit different from the one I checked- would want to do some research before bidding on that one....

Hawleys has it as the spoiler and none under teru which can be read the same kanji, one of the Hawley mistake?
