Kurikata Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Hi, I just purchased this Tsuba representing camelia flowers in silver with coral inlays. Tsuba is in shakudo with a nanako mimi. Plate of tsuba is in ishime. Size is 6 cm X 5.6 cm I search in NMB posts and found a similar F/K: http://www.militaria.co.za/nmb/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4726&p=45000&hilit=coral+tsuba#p45000 Does someone know a school doing such coral inlays ? Thank you Quote
Justin Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Very nice Bruno. Have a look at Dale's second fuchi on this page: viewtopic.php?f=4&t=17774 Similar coral inlay. Quote
Mark Green Posted May 6, 2014 Report Posted May 6, 2014 Hi Bruno, Wow, I just got mine out, and looked at them close. They look like they could have been made by the same guy. Or at least the same house. I have thought about restoring mine. I have found the right coral. Haven't been brave enough, or had the time to try it yet. They are very pretty. Your tsuba looks great!!! Mark G viewtopic.php?f=2&t=4726 Quote
Kurikata Posted May 13, 2014 Author Report Posted May 13, 2014 Thank you Mark, I saw your F/K before posting my Tsuba as Tososgu with corals are quite rare. It is for sure same Workshop. I am more doubtful regarding the artist as my Tsuba is with nanako when yours are with flat surface. Same style , probably same school bur what about the artist ? Best regards Quote
