Maybe seller can say that but Thomas has good arguments to defend himself also. Furthermore if Thomas has a copy of buyer's message saying the parcel was not damaged when he opened it, it can help Ebay to beleive the dagger has been damaged after the parcel was opened.

 

Not saying it is easy but with the photos and copies of buyer's messages, I think Thomas has a chance. At least it worths to try.

 

If Thomas can show to Ebay that buyer ask a refund superior to what the final price was, it can also show Ebay how dishonest he is. This can help also.

Thomas, be careful, paypal will refund the buyer if they think your dragging out the situation. If they do, then you wont get your item back.. Best to get it sorted fast. If it was me, i would speak to my bank, i think your within your rights to stop paypal taking money from your bank/credit card, your being scammed.....just a thought.

Paypal can't legally take money out of your account. Your paypal account will just go negative. You don't want to lose your paypal/ebay account over this though..

He's probably hoping he can get back the majority of his cash and then will just reassemble the sword when he magically finds the "missing" piece. He has already mentioned that he knows he can, and plans to do that with the broken item.

I would settle the problem with ebay,his own words are his downfall, then when its settled, id give him a not so nice message about what he can do with the dagger. If he leaves bad feedback ebay should remove it.

I always check on feedback, especially negative feedback. Can be hilarious at times.

 

Not many of you might remember the "Mackstar" a seller who had serious mental problems.

His feedback rows were legendary.

Unfair negative feedback is usually easy to spot, especially when you see the sellers explanation, unless theres an unusual amount of negative feedback it doesnt usually bother me.
