My Other Tsuba (Signed)

Mariusz convinced me to also share my other Tsuba so here is one more, this one is signed. I have not yet asked for help on the makers name so I do not know it's maker yet. All comments are welcome.

Hi Rick,

 

Your tsuba is signed Yasu (安) Tsugu (次) left of nakago-ana. On the right it says Mi(水) to(戸) Ju (住). To me it looks like a mid Edo Period Mito school tsuba stylistically from Hitachi Province. I am sure Yasutsugu is listed some where and a more specific work period can be established for the maker of your tsuba.

The motif seems to represent the head gear (Eboshi) worn by the Emporer.

 

 

and two flowers whose name I don't know but I see a lot in gardens in Tokyo. They are usually a very vivid purple colour. Can anyone provide the name?

 

To be honest the tsuba is no great shakes IMO

The hat is a kanmuri, worn by courtiers in the Heian period.
