  1. Thanks very much, Brian, that´s very helpful, much appreciated.
  2. I have been trying to find a way for about 10 years already to get a katana from Winnipeg, Manitoba, Canada to Miami, Florida and on to Costa Rica, where I´ve been living for 12 years. I am worried it will be impounded, labeling will cost me a ton, and taxes will be outrageous. Is there a way to get it from Canada to the U.S. and who would I use? How do I label the package to ensure it gets to Miami? What method of shipping is the highest-percentage chance of success? Will the current situations affet my odds of receiving it (pandemic/war)? I have talked to Paul about this briefly but am looking for more information. I noticed a thread from a few years ago here that stated that I needed to mark the package as “Antique Japanese Art (Nihonto), greater than 100 years old”, to use a “Harmonized tariff code” (where can this be found?), and that USPS or Fedex would likely be the best avenues. (how affordable is the insurance?) Does this remain true today with the current circumstances? Any help would be greatly appreciated and kindest of thanks in advance if able to help.
