  1. As everybody said all materials is quiet new here showa or newer considering the laquer inside and outside the menpo , and the laquer and lacing of the tare... a complete example ..
  2. A very nice armor 👌..as said ..certainly from the bakumatsu period...
  3. A very good kabuto congratulation 👌 . I ve got one zaboshi kabuto late momoyama /.early edo from the Haruta school . This is a signed kabuto : Haruta no Katsuyoshi
  4. Few same sellers every years at auction sold set in this puzzle way . So certainly the sellers cutting the historic samurai sets for money are known by others sellers ...afraid to say no one can do anything ...
  5. Terrible situation again, for a nice historic set ! sometimes i think few sellers use a 2nd or 3rd count for a quick sell ....money .....like a ghost seller....
  6. Envocat, Its always very difficult, impossible to judge a period with only one photo...
  7. A nice jingasa Cerjak as said .. you can find many different shapes number of plates in construction and different materials used (iron , leather ...) to build and different use ...
  8. Its a modern reproduction and in bad state.. So if you want a modern kabuto for display you can easily find beautifull modern Japanese kabuto in many websites they will be nice , in a very good state..
  9. I agree nice menpo, I ve always like the zesai teeth characteristics...
  10. I Don t find mon I was looking In the Satake family and variants but no I Don t think...
  11. Good late example, easy to find black urushi sode to complete..
  12. Luc, Interesting horse muzzles also called Kuchikago.. Difficult with the photos Is it monkeys in the left? If yes the monkey are often present, depicted because they are supposed to protect horse against desease.. In the 2nd kuchikago the upper zigzag part is a protection, shinto dedication.. .. I saw only few from Kaga, or with crests or signed Myochin..edo.. . (Also 2 show p10 in "the arms and armour" book from I. Bottomley and A P Hopson.. ) . Do you have more details, mei ? Interesting post 🆙 Laurent
  13. May be nothing but important to watch ..
  14. Ciro, As said Ian the eboshi or momonari kabuto are rarely signed older they are more rare are the signs mei... I've got a momonari and an aboshi kabuto signed both are nice but in the late edo period... Nice golden eboshi here but difficult to date More photo necessaries.. The hachi seems iron because of the thickness but to be sure you can ask the seller to put a magnet, and really easy for the seller to take also a photo to confirm because the ukebari is already open in bad state.. You should be careful of the inside(hachi) kabuto.. When we zoom something looks strange look at the space!? Maybe another pothachi was add for a reinforcement, sometimes a seller in the past can add another second part iron hachi because the original hachi is in really bad state.. Be careful You will confirm easily with a full hachi photo I think..
