  4. imo hopefully one day he will cross the wrong person and be rendered unable to do such things to trusting people, If he is as bad as he sounds. Good on you Ken for standing up for people that need the help. It sucks that there is somebody out there with no honor getting their hands on cherished blades. Dishonesty is a discusting weakness. Greg
  5. Hi Brandon, I just had a look gutoartswords and couldn't see any. Shame about the distance and the hassle that comes with it but thanks anyway that's very nice of you. Thanks Greg

  7. Hello John, Thank you so much for your efforts. I only have found about half that info so I really appreciate it! I just checked out the wakizashi you spoke of, very nice!!! I have that movie and think its great, will have to watch it again now haha. If your happy to share some pics of your Nobuyoshi katana I would love to see it!!! 8. Yeah may have to. Just thought I might try my luck and see if anything suitable is floating around. fingers crossed. the depth is aprox 29mm. Thanks Greg
  9. Hi Stephen I had a look at the ebay habaki you showed me and it would have been ok but a bit small unfortunately. I should have put a minimum size in my post last night. Wasn't thinking too well, I was very tired from work .I think it would need to be 31-33mm wide.Thank very much for your time. Greg
  10. Hi Stephen, Yeah I realise its a gamble, I have a couple koshirae and a couple blades similar sizes but if I cant get a good fit im happy to hang onto them as collection pieces and maybe one day they may be of use. Im hoping to find something not too expensive but we will see. Thank you for your input though I do appreciate it. Greg
  11. Hi all, if anyone has katana habaki for sale I would love to see pics, prices or any info. Preferably 30 cms wide or over. Thank you Greg
  12. Hi all, sorry about the pic quality. As you can see there is a few small pits but I guess that's not too bad for a sword over 300 yrs. Would like to know any opinions on it. Thanks Greg
  13. Hi Shamsy, have you checked out nihonto. Com in Queensland?best of luck Greg
  14. Thanks guys! I will have to get that Marcus Sesko book Paul, I think it will be a great book for the colection! I'm about to purchase the connoisseurs book so it will be my next after that soon. I'm going to out up a couple pics of my nobuyoshi soon. John, I would love to see pics of your katana if possible. Mine is a wakizashi. Thanks and all the best. Greg
  15. Hi all, I recently purchased a sword signed shinano no kami fujiwara nobuyoshi (2nd generation) ca. 1673 and have found limited info on this smith. I would greatly appreciate any info from the great wealth of knowledge you guys have on nihonto regarding this smith. Also if anyone knows the name of a book that may have info about him that would also be helpful (in English). If anyone has any pics of blades made by this smith I would love to see them. Many thanks. Greg.
  16. Thanks for replying, I meant world war 2. That's it Shamsy, I just watched it on YouTube. Great doco but very sad obviously! It would be great if the missing Masamune was discovered and returned to Japan. Thanks for the help!
  17. Hi to all, Around 9 years ago I watched part of a documentary on Foxtel (not sure of the Chanel) and it was about trying to find Japanese swords lost during the war in Japan. I found it very interesting and was hoping somebody may know the doco I'm talking about. Sorry for lack of info. Any ideas are appreciated. Thank you
  18. Great time saving idea. Keep up the good work!!! Thanks
  19. Hi all, once again your on the money and I'm not disheartened in any way. I'm getting ready for work but when I finish tonight I will put up some pics of blades i found with similar hada( from Japan too) haha. Will check the pm after work running late. Have a great day to all. Thanks Greg
  20. Hi all, I think I'm just just going to wait till I can have an expert look at it in person as I can't take a photo good enough for a clear picture. For now I can only go by facts as you say Kam, anything else is just opinions and if I always listen to opinions instead of proven facts I wouldn't have achieved my goals. I'm not sure anyone will be interested but I will put up anything I learn about it in the future. All the best ????
  21. Hi Kam I will try for more pics including the nakago after work tonight. Cheers
  22. Ok this is the only pics that didn't blur as its done with an old iPhone. may try for more later. Thanks
  23. Ok Kam I'm doing my best to take some better pics. I've only got my phone camera and torch so it's challenging but will have some up today. Thank you
