Tokubetsu Hozon and published $6,500 Hiromoto Bunsei (1818-1830), Ōshū –Nihonmatsu-jū Koyama Munetsugu“Ōshū Nihonmatsu-shin Koyama Hiromoto, Kaji-chōja Koyama Mutsu no Suke Fujiwara Ason Hiromoto. His civilian name was Koyama Tōzō, he changed his first name later to Kōnoshin, he was born as the second son of a certain man Kyūshirō in Nihonmatsu in Ōshū, he studied under Suishinshi Masahide and signed in early years with the name Kunihide, in Kyōwa four (1804) he changed his name to Munetsugu and the honorary title Mutsu no Suke was granted to him on the 13th day of the tenth month Bunsei four (1821), with this he changed his name to Hiromoto. He worked for the Nihonmatsu fief which was under the control of the Niwa family and died on the 27th day of the fifth month Tenpō 14 (1843) at the age of 66. Ihori mune, shinogi zukuri, torii sori, chu kissaki, ko midare hamon, with small choji, sunagashi , nagasa 69.6cm. Signed Mutsu-no-Suke Hiromoto dated Shin-Shinto 1827 in polished condition, ubu nakago, iri yamagata with 1 mekugi ana in shirasaya resp. original saya of black lacquered wood. With original mounting: iron fuchi-kashira with decor of hawk chasing sparrows & iron tsuba with decor of flowers, some with gilt inlay. Mutso-no-Suke Hiromoto was a pupil of Suishinshi Masahide. Cf.
