cant help with the swordsmith peter but i know that this style of engraving is found on mid to late war swords as i have had a few which match the style
-
how did this turn out ??

that makes sense !....When i recieved the sword in question i wondered maybe if the vet had put the fabric on instead ! i was going to put a metal sarute on it but now i will keep the fabric sarute in place just as the Japanese officer intended

is that not a risky thing to do...When a seller does that why does his ebay account not get flagged so ebay can kick him off , do ebay not check

where is possible to get more details about this fair? Date? website?
http://www.medalsandmilitaria.co.uk/photos.html
The next fair is on the 12th September 2010.
Peter Yorke and Bill Tagg's tables are the best IMHO. Peter Yorke often has some very good prices on fittings.
the dealer of the link you provided ...is he still trading as all i see when viewing his different catergories is Red x's ??

Max width 800 pixels, otherwise they turn to links to view. This is to prevent forced horizontal scrolling which is darn irritating.
Brian
Thankyou Brian....i will resize all my pictures from now on and i agree that oversized pictures are a real pain m8
