I read wit interest the upcoming baltimore show for me its a hop skip and jump . 2 things were a bit questionable, about 1 month after san francisco i believe is a bit too soon, the other that was real toublesome was the cost of a table $250.00 which i feel is quite exhorbitant any one out there agree ?   6. shimada yoshisuke hamon had a peculuar shape in the tanis (valley) it reverted to suguha he is well known for this type work also his boshi was usually different on both sides his nakago was slightly rounded on one side LKanarekMD

  13. kiri cut tip not uncommon no visible yasurime rare would loke to see area under the habaki to rule out a weld pretty blade needs close investigation the chinese collected nihonto at the end of the war and cut off all the nakagos and planned to use them as police sabers in this sword we have a nice blade with an unusual nakago hmmmmmmmm makes one think sww if you can get b etter bictures of nakago under habaki LKMD

  16. Joey nothing beats actually holding a quality nihonto with or without papers get down to tampa see great swords for all price ranges with papers and see the running of a shinsa you wont be unappreciative of the experience LKanarek MD

In my humble opinion this is not nagamitsus work shape is wrong (sori)hamon is way off horse tooth choji most common suguha on early works san saku boshi is missing choji is not the tadpoile of earlier bizen smiths but matches later bizen smiths (sukesadas) I have nagamitsu kagemitsu and kanemitsu as well as yasumitsu not close to them PS hada is too weak for nagamitsu LKanarekMD

    Tsuguhira late shinto was known to add pure gold to his tamahagane called ogon hada giving a similar beautiful hada LKanarek MD
  22. this hamon is quite common for amahide few folds while tempering I have seen a few of his and his sons works LKanarek MD
  23. In march of 2010 I posted the story of the trouble with the NBTHK boy was I attacked by a bunch of non believers including all those american b ranch guys well la di da now I finally feel vindicated LKanarekMD
