Hi all,

sometimes my browser seems to forget about the highlighting of new posts.
Normally new posts are highlighted in green color but occasionally firefox seems to "forget" the new posts and there is no highlighting anymore

Any ideas?

I use firefox too and mine only highlights when I am logged in...

well I think that´s the way it´s supposed to work. It should only highlight if you are logged in.
But sometimes the highlighting doesn´t work even though I´m logged in.

Phpbb does have occasional issues with the unread posts indicator. I have found that you should make sure you are logged in every time you read posts to keep them consistent.
Another thing is that I think they are only unread posts since your last visit/session. So if you log in, and don't read all the posts...and exit, then the next time you log in, it will only show the unread posts since your last visit and the ones you didn't read last time will now be marked as read.
Bit of an inconvenience, but should be ok if you remember that.
I am investigating the issue more, and will do what I can to fix it if there is a solution.

how about once the message is read, then the whole shihban changed to a different color ?
Unless you are colorblind, then there's no mistake twhat messages have been read.
