This is a tachi-shaped tôshô-tsuba, measuring 8,6 x 8,2 cm. The thickness
is 3,5 mm. It dates to the late Muromachi period and shows a deep and
fascinating tsuchime treatment and beautiful patina. It is ubu, i.e. it has
no later opened hitsu-ana, and also the nakago-ana is almost untouched.
It comes boxed and with NBTHK Hozon papers.
