Shinsakuto and Tsuba?!

The famous Yoshindo Yoshihara makes tsuba, especially in the Katchushi style. He works very hard on patina recipes from the olden days.

in regards to the Ebay tsuba, I have 3 Masao listed in the Showa period. All signed 正雄 as apposed to 眞雄

Also, see the work from the Showa period of Nariki Kazunari - 成木一成 who was born in 1931. He made classic sukashi style tsuba

There are several samples here on Sekeido, see items HT-01, 09, 06 and 08.

cheers mate

these tsuba to be made between 1945 - 1985, just as a guess. I am unsure when Kazunari stopped working if indeed he has, he may well still be alive, one can only hope. Also,I have not seen one papered, but they do carry good prices. It would be a good question for Hagihara sensei.
