Hi John, Last time there I saw one of those, it was priced at around 450000 yen. It was a military surplus store. It was in good condition like yours. Was the price of this comparable? Fittings and saya etc. look mint. I am curious about the blade. What is your assessment of that? John

Hello my namesake,

 

I am afraid I had paid too much for this piece but wanted one badly as its mint and was never taken out of Japan.

 

The orginal balde was sold long ago so it wss only the mounts. Surely when you mentioned the price of the sword like this, you meant with the balde right?
