help with a kyu gunto sword

My uncle asked me to find a forum to ask for help.

I am from Belgium, so my english is not that good.......so please forgive my maybe bad language haha.

Anyway he has this kind of kyu gunto sword which he bought at an antique store lots of years ago.

He was wondering if this is an authentic kyu gunto sword due to the fact that the handle is completely in brass and the blade itself has a number on it as you can see. This is quite strange cause other swordpictures dont have these numbers or complete brass handles.....

I think it is a reproduction.

What do you guys think?

Thanx for the help !!!!
