Hi, I will give it a try although there will be others better than me.

I could not make the first 2 kanji, the third is KUNI YOSHI MURA(?) SAKU.

I tried and look for Yoshimura and found very little, only tosa yoshimura chikamune , Kaei period.

It is I beleive, Minamoto Nobukuni Yoshimasa Saku. There were 3 smiths that signed this way. They were from Chikazen and dated in the the Kanii (early 1600' ) Kanbun (mid/late 1600's) and the Jokyo (late 1600's) periods.

All 3 generally signed Chikizen Ju Minamoto Nobukuni Heishiro Yoshimasa ( with or without Saku )

cheers

Hi Moriyama-san and Rich,

Thanks very much.... I looked on the JSSUS and saw the kanji for Yoshimasa, however I was examining the style of kanji on the mei and could not say for sure the MASA 政 character.... Now you guys have confirmed it for me... thanks.

Thanks very much and thanks also to Grey and Mike for their imput.

Cheers
