I have a very similar one and that's also on its final polish but I still get enjoyment from it.
It's got great age and if it's affordable and inspirational then it's still got to be good for the soul.
A polisher would give better advice though.

Not sure I'd put any money into it. Sure, it's a blade, but not a lot to be learned because of its condition.

Anyone can be tough for a season,
but it takes a special kind of human to rise to life's challenges for a lifetime.

To me, at least, it still seems to be a pretty solid blade. Lots of detail, but enough charcater to show age and use, and it just looks good (eye appeal). I wouldn't polish again.

Don't know the size and quality of your collection, but if you like it and it's cheap (meaning you can resell it and get at least all of your money back) and you think you will enjoy it, then buy it. I agree with the others that I would not invest in a new polish.

My biggest question would be if you can see details in the hamon. Personally I’d only buy this if you can see the activity in it.
